Week 2 Assignment#3
Click here to view my multicultural project on Unity.
My Reflection:
I am currently doing fieldwork for preschool students. I realized how students with different physical and linguistic differences causes students to dislike one another and causes 'politics' for their age. Encouraging the multiculturalism in the classroom will bring a great atmosphere and positive effects.

The title of my
lesson is called “Unity”. My lesson goal
was to teach my preschool students how each one of us are equal and all have
differences that make us who we are. I encouraged
different guided practices to bring about the unity within the classroom. Reading
books with different cultural backgrounds and physical differences is beneficial.
Displaying bulletin boards with everyone’s
pictures and work on it. Having group
tasks in the classroom is a great activity to brake barriers between the
children. Celebrating the different
holidays of all the students. Last,
showing interest to each student is vital in bringing about the unity within
the classroom! Remembering that constantly encouraging the diversity within the
classroom is important especially as the students get older and wiser.
Great job chana!
